    EA's DLC Policy for Family Accounts Stinks


    I purchased the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass for my kid and apparently, it doesn't work on family account on Xbox One. DUMB! The main game works fine.

    I spent all morning trying to get hold of someone at EA and when I finally did, they said their DLC will not work on family plan member's accounts, only on the primary account, so beware.

    I contacted Microsoft and the support person was AWESOME and gave me a refund but I would have preferred to have the DLC obviously.

    Does anyone know if all DLC on Xbox One works this way or is it only EA?

    The link above should be of help to you regarding adding/removing members from the family pack.

    As for battlefield 3, being an EA game I have a feeling it falls under EA's policy regarding children under 13 years of age not being allowed to play online.

    What you suggest doing should work looking at the family pack information.

    If you remove a member from your Gold Family Pack, the account is downgraded to an Xbox LIVE Free Membership.

    Think this is the worse deal of the week I've ever seen

    Meh, I very rarely complain about Microsoft's DotW promotion, but this week really does stink!

    Hi, as that game is published by EA it may be their age restriction policy that is the issue. I believe their policy prohibits anyone under 13 years of age from playing EA games online.

    EA base the age on the birthdate that was set when the Xbox account was created and that cannot be changed.
