Searches and other one-click offerings earn Bing Rewards points. The number of Bing Rewards points you can earn per day varies. Currently, it's 16 or 17. There are one or two special 1-point offers a day, and then the search benefit of 1 point for every
two searches, up to 15 points a day.



The Bing Rewards points you earn can be redeemed for various Rewards, including 100 MS Points, 400 MS Points, and 1 Month of Live Gold. The MS Points rewards are codes that are e-mailed to you. I presume the 1 Month Gold is also, but I've never chosen that
reward. They also added Silver and Gold Rewards levels that are obtained by being a Bing Rewards member and earning rewards points. Silver doesn't do much, but Gold gets you a 5% Rewards Points discount on MS Points and Live Gold. as an example, 400 MS Points
is normally 500 Bing Rewards points. As a Gold member, that drops to 475 Bing Rewards points.

Although you need Xbox Live Gold, you can join Microsoft rewards and earn points, by doing searches with bing and daily quests (through the website and the app) that can be redeemed for Xbox Live Gold, Game Pass and much more. Points are also earned when
you purchase games and films too. Best of all you don't have to purchase anything and you can just use points that you have earned free, from the searches and quests.

you can get free Xbox Live Gold/Game Pass by signing up for Microsoft Rewards.

you can earn points just by using Edge browser and Bing search engine on PC and by using Bing search on your phone.

there are also more ways to earn reward points on Xbox by downloading the MS Rewards app.

if you have Game Pass then there are also Game Pass Reward Quests where you can earn reward points just for playing games.

I've found that by upgrading my subscription to Game Pass Ultimate then topping up with 3 months of Gold or Game Pass from MS Rewards is the best value (3 months of Gold gives 50 days of Game Pass Ultimate, 3 months of Game Pass gives 60 days of Ultimate
for the same amount of points as 1 month of Ultimate)

I noticed that you said your friend couldn't play Roblox on your Xbox even though you own it.

have you set your Xbox as your Home Xbox?

if it is set as your Home Xbox, anyone who signs in with their own account will be able to play any of your games and also make use of your Live Gold/Game Pass.

you can check the status of your Xbox Live Gold at https://account.microsoft.com/services/. just sign in with your Xbox account.

as others have said, your Live Gold probably expired when your Xbox was in for repair so there isn't much that can be done except renewing your subscription but there are ways of getting Live Gold cheaper or even free.

check the store for offers as there are often offers for up to 3 months of Gold or Game Pass ultimate at very reduced rates. (Game Pass Ultimate includes Live Gold but also gives you access to the Game Pass library of games. check this link for details and

https://account.microsoft.com/rewards/. it will take a while to earn enough for Live Gold but once you get there it is easy to keep your Gold up to date using MS Reward Points.

if you do get Game Pass Ultimate you can earn more reward points by doing Game Pass Quests on your Xbox by playing Game Pass games and earning achievements.

I'm sorry this isn't a quick fix but hopefully it will help in the long term.

Those prices are also full price. There are sales from time to time on the gold memberships. Don't forget, with Microsoft Rewards you can actually use your reward points to get xbox live memberships, so you can in theory get Xbox Live Gold just by using
the bing search tool (Google doesn't pay you to search....).
