this app sucks and never works how can I get the audio of party chats it just goes blank or says error, my nat type is open and toredo is good, this is for both xbox apps

Try doing a hard reset and see what happens.

Do this close the app wait a least a minute then try again if does not work uninstall the app wait for couple of minutes and the reinstall it try again if all else don't work try Xbox
Support to solve the problem directly with them.

Ok then, you may have to ensure that the output for the audio is coming out of your headphones. This is one of the extra steps I have to do as well.

Here what you can try: Click on the speaker icon in the bottom right corner of your task bar. Your default playback device should already be enabled, lets say its your speakers or your monitor. (For me its my 32 inch tv). Click on that, then a drop down
menu will appear with the available options for audio output. Try selecting one of these to see if the sound comes out your headset. There may be a couple different options depending on how many devices you have plugged in to your PC. Then you should be able
to adjust the volume accordingly from there. Also make sure that the App has permission to use your microphone.

Question for you sir, are you using the default party application on the Xbox console or thru another platform? I use my Xbox party on the Xbox app thru my desktop and there are a few additional steps I have to make work there.
