EA Play: "Your game failed to launch." SOLVED.

If you go into the firewall setting you'll see an option "Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall". Once you click on that a window will appear with a list of allowed apps or features. Click the "Allow another app..." button. Browse a path to where the games .exe file is. select the .exe file. Add it to the allowed apps. Bingo.

This worked for me. Hopefully it helps someone else

Whenever I try to launch an EA Play game through the Xbox App for PC, nothing happens.
I open up the EA beta app and verify that they are in fact installed, try to launch any of them and I'm met with this error:

Your game failed to launch

Double-check your connection, or try again later.

Everything is linked correctly. I can install games and download them. I just can't play them. I uninstalled Origin, restarted the apps manually and checked for updates to no avail. I've restarted the computer a handful of times just in case. Nothing solved it.

I'm a Gamepass Ultimate subscriber.
All of my purchased games on my EA account are showing in the app too so it is definitely linked up correctly.

EDIT: I just allowed it manually in the Windows Firewall exceptions and now everything appears to be running smoothly. I will update this thread if something comes up.

Same problem. Downloaded NFS Heat through EA Play App linked to my Game Pass Ultimate account. Installed fine but fails to launch every time.
