    EA Play games won't install with EA Play through Xbox Game Pass


    I have been trying to install Knockout city through the game pass. I had it downloaded about 2 weeks ago and was playing it fine. I recently logged in to my account and it showed it was greyed out and said membership expired and it didn't show it was installed. I uninstalled it through the control panel and everytime i try to reinstall i get this error: Unable to install

    There was a slight hiccup and we couldn’t finish installing Knockout City™. Restart your PC and try again.

    Also, many other games on EA Play show up grey and unable to install. While others show up regular and i can install them. It seems to be random which ones are and aren't able to be installed. I spoke with EA Play support and they told me to contact Xbox so here i am. And here is our conversation on EA Play:

    Gurpreet (6/7/2021, 9:45:27 PM): I would suggest you to please contact with Xbox support for it and ask them about this issue. EA Play with Xbox game pass offered by them and they can track it to help you.

    Is anyone having an issue with Xbox for PC where some games will download and install but others will not?

    Thanks for trying, DaleGoins! You will need to install EA games on the EA desktop app. According to Xbox:

    EA games in the EA Play library are accessible for download within the Xbox Game Pass experience using the Xbox app for Windows via the EA app, now in beta.     Does switching Game Pass subscriptions impact our game progress/type of games able to play?

    1) No.

    2) If you purchased the games, you won't lose them. If you downloaded them for free through EA Play, you would no longer be able to play them with an EA Play or Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
