EA games on game pass download location

Hello Joanna

yes my drive that i'm trying to download my games on is formatted to NTFS. Yes i do have that feature selected on the xbox app to make sure all my games go to my desired drive. That being i have the same drive selected on the EA app and yet it still downloads to another drive. I don't have space on that drive that EA games keep downloading to so it's kind of an issue for me

Thank you for confirming this with me. My next suggestion is to uninstall the EA Play APP and see if that fixes the issue, if not do the following and then uninstall the EA app again and install it after the two suggestions below.

Solution 1: Reset Windows 10 store & Xbox app

1. Open Settings.

2. Go to Apps -> Apps & features.

3. On the right side, look for Microsoft Store/Xbox App and click it.

4. The advanced options link will appear. Click it

5. Next, click on the Reset button to reset Microsoft Store/Xbox App to default settings.

Solution 2: Try reinstalling the Gaming Services package on your Windows 10 device:

1. Right-click the Start button in the lower-left corner of the main screen, and then select Windows PowerShell (Admin).
   
2. In the Administrator: Windows PowerShell screen, type the following command and press Enter:
   
3. Get-AppxPackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers

Hello, That was the first thing i had tried to do but for some reason it still downloads to another drive I also tried uninstalling the game and redownloading it with the new drive location. I uninstalled the EA app and redownloaded it, no luck.

Do you mean the Hard drive location? If so, I am happy to help and provide steps to change your installs' hard drive and folder destination.

Change install location EA App

1. Open EA App
   
2. Click on your profile next to the down arrow in the upper-right corner.
   
3. Select Settings
   
4. Click on the Download tab
   
5. Under the Downloads section on the right side, click Edit
   
6. Then choose where you want to install your games, and you can create a folder
   
7. Attempt to install your game and see if it installs in the correct hard drive and folder

Thank you for confirming this for me. The drive you are installing to have you formatted it to NTFS. You will not download any games to a drive if it's not in NTFS format. Have you also made sure that in the Xbox App, you have this enabled where you can ask the Xbox app where to install games?

Xbox APP drive locations

1. On the upper-right corner, click on your profile
   
2. Select settings
   
3. Then Click on General
   
4. Under Game install options
   
5. Make sure that ask me for install options on every install is installed
   
6. Change where this app installs games by default, click on the drop-down arrow and choose the main drive.
