EA Access (Xbox one Exclusive)

I for one am not paying a subscription to play old games (50% of which I have on disc at the moment) and I dont see that percentage changing much in the future. As for the 10% discount on digital games that would mean I have to buy 5 E.A titles every year
to break even. If E.A, Dice, Microsoft want me to go fully digital, here is what they need to do. (1) Lower the price of digital downloads compared to disc (You are saving a hell of alot of money by eliminating manufacturing and distribution costs) dont you
think you are being extreemly greedy to expect us to pay the same price as physical media and you get all the money savings ?. (2) Once we buy digital, were stuck with it, cant even make a coffe coaster with it if we no longer want it !!! how about trading
in digital media on new digital downloads ie a discount on new downloads with credit from your returned old digital games.

If E.A get away with this I think they should look into selling fresh air next !

It looks like E.A need reminding of the monumental 180 that Microsoft were forced to do, dont let them get away with this... the maths sucks and they know it.

 

The 10% discount on Digital Purchases is all ways welcome but I'm going to wait it out for more games I haven't played to appear in the Vault before I pay up for the $39.95 a year. I'm glad the option is there though I'm just not a big sports game fan so
maybe when battlefront comes out.

Old games? Every game is less than a year old. All '15 sports games and Dragon Age will be added to the Vault prior to releasing. Brand new.

The rest of your post seems to be your own distaste for buying digital copies of games, and that's okay, but what EA is offering is, I reckon, indisputably good value for anyone who plays *ANY* games existing in the Vault.

 

While I'm not really interested in this "promotion", I am curious as to how long will it take new releases to go into the "vault". Obviously your $29.99 yearly subscription is not going to get you Dragon Age: Inquisition a month after release, so when does
it happen?

 

Another added bonus is that you get access to games 5 days early. Hopefully this will be available in time for Madden 15. This is the light time of year for gaming options.

Fifa, NHL, Need for speed, and Garden warfare are all games I have considered buying but couldn't get myself to pull the trigger. $30 for all of them (and more) seems like an excellent deal. If I enjoy these games and they don't add new games to make the
subscription worth it, I will cancel my subscription.

Count me in.

I thought I understood this but now I'm confused too. From what I understand all '15 sports games and Dragon Age will NOT be added to the vault prior to releasing, you will just get to play early access for 5 days, and upon release you will still have to
pay full price (minus the 10% discount) for digital copies of '15 sports games and Dragon Age. Otherwise it just doesn't make financial sense that EA would let you play all of those games for a one off yearly fee of 29.99 when they would make double that just
on the sale of 1 game.

Sony turned it down, that's why it's Xbox One exclusive. They said it won't add value to Sony's subscribers. But... meh, it's an optional service. Shouldn't the subscribers get to decide if it's worth it or not?

I'd be interested to learn if Sony is really looking out for its subscribers. Or if they're afraid of giving a giant like EA some stomping ground on their platform. lol I can't honestly see a downside to letting EA Access onboard, so what *is* with Sony's
decision to shut it out?

@pulsarboy360 You're correct, I misread the details. The '15 titles and Dragon Age are just the trials available in the vault.

 

New games will only be available as trials, you won't have full access to them.

 

When will this be available? I want to sign up right meow.

 

I paid 3.99 euro and I feel it was worth it. Wish there were more games, but the Vault will grow.
