EA Access (Xbox one Exclusive)

More nickle and diming or a good idea? If you pay by month the 10% you "save" is
what you pay a month. The $29.99 might be decent.

How will EA access effect EA's relationship with Microsoft and Sony?

It won't change anything between EA,Sony,Microsoft.....

EA makes exclusives games only on PC.

EA access becames a Xbox one exclusive by default.(Not an EA/Microsoft choice).

And EA ,in the future,might sells some exclusives contents (or time exclusives) on both consoles (like EA did previously).....

 

Steam coming to Xbox ?

I'm not touchy, just stating facts, an exclusive is something that one console has that the other has no access to, as Sony have the option of EA Access it is NOT exclusive to Xbox.

 

I can see the potential value in this. The idea, in my opinion, derives from the benefits from Playstation+ and Xbox Gold *Access to games, discounts, etc*. The amount of games with EA has under their belt makes the offer tempting
when you think about it in the long run.

 

Not for me but someone might see it as a good deal.

 

I might look in to it when they have more games available that I'm interested in playing.

 

I am interested in it simply because Im a sports fanatic. Getting a discount on Dragon Age doesnt hurt either.

 

With the amount of Battlefield and FIFA I play (FIFA especially), this is a no-brainer for me. It's a great offer with insane value.

 

The problem will be the pricing of the content coupled with the sub fee. At least, for the UK, if Origin's UK prices are anything to go by. EA are delusional when it comes to sticking price tags on digital content. (>_0)

 

So let me get this straight. We pay $29.99 a month, and we can download and play the EA titles with full access to the game as if you were to buy it in a store?

As much as i am not a huge EA fan, that almost sounds too good to be true.

 

If the games work this is EA after all....

 

TBH I don't trust EA... they don't have the best track record as a company for being fair to gamers.

I'm not into sports games anyway so not interested until there are better games. A lot of my XBL pals are going crazy for this though...

 

@jimi No. $5.99 a month or $29.99 (discounted) if you buy a year sub. For that you get discounts on titles, beta access and rewards akin to pre-order bonuses. Plus full access to games in the "Vault" -- these'll be select games and the library will grow
over time.

It's the sub + discount that I don't believe. for there to be a real discount the price would have to reflect the actual worth of digitally distributed content. lol EA price digital content at retail levels and over, presumably because the big wigs think
the savings from a lack of physical manufacturing, packaging, distrubution, and labour costs go to them. As opposed to cutting that out of the picture and selling cheaper to the consumer digitally.

I'll be uh... waiting and seeing. lol

 

Ill pass they already knickle and dime with there DLC. Don't really play sports games and the incentive of early access to games yet to release meh ill live. But that is my opinion.

 

Is this going to include new releases? If so the potential for value is there.

Problem to my mind is that it really depends on if EA have games coming out that you not only want to play but will replay enough over the course of the year to make that monthly subscription worth it.

So yes, the potential of value is there. As with everything though in this industry, it depends on the quality of the games.
