"e3 isn't even over"

Now it is, still don't have the titles announced as coming soon with the launch of this program.

Why was this so terribly executed?

Why do we have 10:1 ratio on arcade titles vs 360 titles?

Why did Phil Spencer say there would be a big backward compatibility announcement at the end of E3 and it turned out to be two games we already had sequels to on the program, and more arcade titles?

Why can't we just get the games promised as coming soon at the launch of the program?

Well considering that the only E3 stuff tomorrow is MS and Sony's press briefing doesn't leave much E3 to watch tomorrow. but even then E3 doesn't actually start till Tues.

Careful, Big Brother doesn't like it when you call BC out on being a joke. That being said, yeah, it's garbage. MS has totally cocked this program up and are pretty much just trying to sweep it under the rug now.

 

Microsoft needs to get permission from the developer and publisher before they can do anything.

• They could run into any trouble and it'd delay the game.
• If there was any trouble, Microsoft would try to find a work around.
• Microsoft has published/developed a good number of the Backwards Compatible games, as you can see from
  
  Major Nelson's blog.

Once Microsoft gets permission, they begin working on getting the game(s) over to Xbox One through different tests.

After Microsoft is finished with getting the game onto their emulator, the developer needs to create a patch for the general public.

• This could also be a lengthy process, creating patches for games is sometimes difficult to do.
  

The only thing we as gamers can do is, have patience with them. They've begun delivering games from the "Coming Soon" list (Black Ops) so it's just a matter of time.

 

We don't want excuses, we want answers.

 

They've developed *** games and XBLA games. 4, maybe 5 decent releases. Everything you just said is common knowledge anyway. The problems people are having are that almost NONE of the games they initially used to promote BC have come out, they give NO status
updates on where anything is, they lock/delete anything that questions the BC program, they misleadingly put games listed as "coming soon" on sale for cheap to encourage gamers to buy them with no recourse when they realize they just wasted their money because
they aren't backwards compatible and they continue to crow about how awesome the program is.

It wouldn't solve every problem but it would solve a lot if the status of a game on the feedback page looked more like what you have above. Instead of "In Progress", say "Awaiting Permissions", "Testing" and "Creating Patches". Have a mod give a minor status
update beyond that every couple of weeks. It's the total lack of ANY information combined with dozens of garbage games getting pushed out that is making players angry.

 

ps why did they put a different admin over the user feedback page for all of a week, and then turn it back over to the guy that hasn't updated us in half a year?

The admin doesn't really matter, they're all bound by the MS policy of complete silence.
