    E106 Error Code after swapping old Internal HDD back into same Xbox One S HELP!!


    Hi all, I swapped my xbox one s hdd to an ssd in 2022. It worked fine and at the time I used the OSU1 update file on a usb to configure the new ssd to work. Today, I felt like using my old hdd on the same xbox to access some old data. I got the E106 00000009 80070570 error. What can I do? I do not want to factory reset this drive. Would loading the OSU1 file on the USB wipe the drive?

    You see one of the following error codes when you try to turn on your console:

    • E106

    Solution

    To resolve this problem, use the Xbox One startup error troubleshooter:

    1. Go to the
      Xbox One startup error troubleshooter      .
    2. Scroll down the screen and select E106.

    Slow and stuttering gameplay

    I got the same issue. It started recently.

    After some time in any game the whole Xbox one S slows down: main menu opening, game(s) freezing.

    I have tried everything: clear cache, MAC, moved games to external HDD, full factory reset. Nothing helps.

    The possible reason is it may get problem with internal HDD, but problem is not appearing immediatly after boot but after some time. Another reason might be heating (fan failure?). But there is no way to do any diagnosis and there is no error messages.

    Any ideas/help?
