    E101 and E106 - Insiders OSU File Request


    I want to make this post (again: https://www.reddit.com/r/xboxinside...one_s_no_longer_working_after_december_build/ ) in order to get the attention of the Devs and Staff of this forum but also to make a shout-out to everyone that has had this issue and got their Xbox bricked.

    How is it that there's no Insider OSU File to help with Startup issues? It's really disheartening reading comments that say "You have to send your console for repair" when all we're doing is "Help shaping the future of Xbox" and in the Insiders Enrollment notes never says something about "getting your console bricked in case of an update will lead you to send it to repair and will cost you around the price of a new console", sentence which would make me change my mind about enrolling almost immediately.

    Is it much to ask for an OSU file for Insiders? We want to help but without this file there's no way we can recover our consoles and getting to pay for something we didn't do is not fair. We are not illegally modifying our consoles nor tinkering with them in any way, WE'RE HELPING IN BUG SEARCHING AND BETA TESTING!!! We deserve at least as much tools and support to recover our consoles as we are helping you with the builds.

    I hope this post gets a bit more attention than last one because I'll keep posting until I get the attention and support so we can have our consoles working again.

    E101 & E106 - Insider Preview Bricked My Box

    I have this same problem too, I get stuck on either E101 or E106 after trying all types of reset and OSU restore. I hope MS can post an updated OSU for insider builds or point us in the right direction on how to solve this

    Same problem here. Any news?Im not part of the Insider program (I have installed the app in my PC (because my xbox is bricked) and after login with my user it tolds me to join so I undestand that Im not registered) but today my xbox has been updated to
    the same version as yours and now gives me different errors at startup (E101, E102, E106).

    As you say, the OSU files that we can download from the official site are not updated...

    By the way, how do you check the OSU version without trying to install it?

    Hello Binzilla,

    Thank you for your post. I understand you are experiencing an issue with your Xbox One producing error codes E101 & E106. To continue the

    offline system update    , try using a different USB port on the console for the USB drive with the OSU files.

    Error code 0x800701e7 when downloading on xbox one

    attempted offline update OSU2 received error code E101, think there is a corrupt file in the file. Updating now with OSU 1, waiting to see of this resolves the issue.

    "there is no bind button on a xbox one X"

    The BIND button is located on the left side of the console.

    An E101 error indicates you may have a hardware problem and the console needs to be repaired.

    Also, if you are in the Insider program, OSU's will not work and are not compatible with Insider OS previews
    Thanks, I updated grid and then it messed up. It gave me 1 E101, then an E102. When I try to restart or reset it has given me E106, then an E105.

    Either way it wont restart. Looks like my xbox days are over. It cost 450 and as just run out of guarantee so definitely not paying to get it repaired as I presume that would be at least half the price again.
