    E101 00000504 8B050041 error on reset


    I did a reset today (Alpha ring) on my Series X because it lost my connection (again) with remote play (this seems to happen every few weeks). Did the reset, keep games and apps, through the Xbox App on Android. Successful reset until I got past the log in screen then I got a spinning orange circle (briefly a green one). I would temporarily get a banner with my email log in as well. Contacted support (third party) and we tried to trouble shoot potential software problems. Did a hard reset (power button for 10+ seconds), hard reset with unplugging everything, manual reset (hold bind and eject button then press the power button), tried resetting without using the app and without turning on instant on. Finally I downloaded the offline update (OSU1 file) and extracted to a USB drive. That resulted in an E101 00000504 8B050041 error. I was currently on OS version 25249.1005.amd64fre.rs_xbox_dev_flight.221120-1900

    Support person believes that it is a hard drive and/or motherboard error because of the spinning circle and E101 error. Not sure if the software version crapped out the Series X. It is two years old, so one wouldn't think so......
