Dynamic Latency and the Elite Series 2 controller

Hey all! Trying to find details of this online and failing, so forgive me if I'm missing it. I'm reading about how Xbox Series X will have dynamic latency, which seems to at least partially include tech inside their controllers. Is that same tech already
in the Elite Series 2 controller? I'm tempted to buy it, but if the standard controllers that come with the Series X are going to have better tech inside, I may wait.

Separate and rhetorical question: What are the odds Microsoft will reimburse me for the electricity costs I've incurred the last seven years due to my console constantly turning on without any contact of any kind?

I don't think there is enough available information at the moment in regards to actual specs and tech within the series x controller. The DLI that has been mentioned does seem to be unique
to the series x so I would expect unique tech to that of the Elite series 2 controller (which is a fantastic controller in it's own right). I understand why you may be tempted to wait at this point as I was considering upgrading my Xbox one S to a One X until
late last year when details of the Series X began to circulate. As for the reimbursement of electricity costs, I do see that as being rather unlikely I'm afraid. I hope this helps.

As far as I know from articles I read, Dynamic Latency will be for the new controllers of Series X.

And for the second question, 0 changes I think.

I'm glad you didn't keep it to yourself, as it's a very good question; I'm sure you know the answer.

As far as the controller, as with any new advance in technology, I expect any peripheral to the new XBOX Series X and associated networks to work flawlessly.

Thank goodness for Backward Compatibility and the promise existing, functional peripherals, will be Backward Compatible. (for at least the foreseeable future).

Yes, it is possible to unlock the sound speed of Xbox Series X/S and Elite Series controllers through a software update. The update brings dynamic latency input to these older controllers, meaning it will send input data when it detects it in as little as 2ms when used with an Xbox Series console, rather than polling and transmitting at a fixed interval. 8ms

However, the ability to modify Software or Hardware is not within my capabilities.
