DVDs won't play

Happy Christmas everyone

i am currently on my 3rd Xbox one console. I purchased a day one edition which started off working perfectly but gradually lost the ability to play discs (a random mixture of games, DVDs and blu Rays) until nothing worked. Even though it was out of its warranty
I was fortunate that the retailer I brought this from still replaced it. I then had exactly the same problem with my second console. At this point I thought it may have been an issue with the delivery and that both had been damaged in transit and so I decided
to purchase a new one locally rather than online. Now my third console will not play any DVD. Both Blu Rays and games work fine but not my DVDs, they play in my boyfriends Xbox one, just not mine. I've tried all the solutions I can find mentioned on the forums
for disc tray issues but I haven't found any posts where the disc tray only has problems playing DVDs specifically. Has anyone else had this problem and resolved it or is this just a case of needing a new Xbox? Thanks

DVD won't play

Hey everyone im from the United States and I have a xbox one console that will not play any type of DVD movies and when I try a DVD I get an error code saying: Sorry we can't play this disc. This disc is made for region 1 and this console is designed for
region 2. (0x91d70005). I bought it from my old dorm buddy who is from Saudi Arabia. How can I fix this issue. I have no blu-ray discs only dvd

 

my Xbox one day one won't play most of my DVDs

My Xbox one won't play all of my DVDs there is some like transformers revenge of the fallen and the Simpsons movie and the count is up to 78 out of 100 DVDs that won't play it plays games blue ray DVDs and music cds also it will not play any of the home
movies that are on DVD the DVD codec needs fixed and the audio needs fixed to play 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound

 

Have you tried updating the Blu-Ray player software?
