    DualShock4 controller not working with iOS game pass via safari


    The support info says DualSchock 4 is one of the supported “verified” controllers for game pass mobile

    I’m running game pass mobile on safari via iPad Pro with iOS 15.1 and the controller works on all other applications and Home Screen

    But when I open the game pass online app (safari browser), none of the inputs from the controller work at all

    I’m away from home regularly and already run ps remote play so would rather not have to take any other controllers with me to use Xbox online too

    Please check game pass subscription status to confirm that your Ultimate pass subscription is active and valid. To do this, sign in to the Microsoft Account Services Page https://account.microsoft.com>; Services and subscription and make sure that it should be "Active" and no issues.

    And then refresh your browser, on Safari go to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data. Restart the browser and revisit the Xbox Cloud Gaming Website.

    Next is to update your browser by making sure that Safari or any browser you’re using is up to date. On your iOS, please go to Settings > General > Software Update and install any pending updates.

    Then adjust Safari settings because cloud gaming may require specific Safari settings to work. To do this, open Settings > Safari. Enable JavaScript under Safari settings. Allow Pop-ups if they’re blocked.

    After that is to run a speed test to confirm that your internet meets the minimum requirements (10 Mbps download speed or higher is recommended) because a weak or unstable connection can cause the greyed-out play button.

    It is also important to check game availability. There are games on Game Pass might be temporarily unavailable for cloud gaming. Kindly look for updates on the Xbox Cloud Gaming Status Page to ensure all games are available and operational.

    If Safari isn’t working well, please use another browser like Chrome or Microsoft Edge (available on iOS via the App Store).

    Due to restrictions put in place by Apple, you cannot access Cloud Gaming via the Game Pass app on iOS. Instead, you have to access the website via a Safari bookmark. Follow these steps to add the Cloud Gaming web app to your iOS device:

    Launch the Safari browser, and then go to Xbox.com/play.

    Select the Share button, and then select Add to Home Screen.

    Now, you can open the Cloud Gaming bookmark from your home screen and it will function like a standalone app.

    I tried it, it keeps saying that safari couldn't open the page because the servers stopped responding.
