No but sli isnt really usrd nowadays except for mining

Is an 8 core ( not dual, not quad but octo ) 64bit x86 GPU/CPU on the same chip. Microsoft have customised it so it has less GPU power that Sony has to make room for esram chip ( very cool ) and move engines ( essentially moves data on chip instead of to
memory and back again, but unsure on this ATM ).

would be just as cheap to get a new board, cpu and ram, your current cpu will be a severe bottleneck for any of the latest gpu's and as you are most likely running ddr3 and not in dual channel mode that will affect performance too.

you may even have to upgrade the psu too to support the latest gpu's.

what's your budget

@Sigma I understand you not believing any secrets, but the IEEE GPU diagrams clearly show a completely different GPU then anyone had even imagined. I am not sure why people keep thinking it's the same, there is no other GPU on the market like this. This
is a huge institute that published these diagrams not some guess work from an unknown source.

I completely agree that until they produce the goods, so to speak we are still in the dark on where they are going with this GPU design, but developers and professionals have already been quoted as saying this is a huge leap in GPU design.

DX11 is only using half of the GPU (as it can only single thread) when DX12 allows it to use the dual/parallel parts its going to be fantastic.

I wouldn't expect to be full content no, especially not by AMD. I would prefer to think that MS will want to show some real jaw dropping footage of what this console can do.

Then at Hotchips reveal the full dual GPU and quad CPU!!!
