DTS digital surround via optic

Hi im having issues with my new xbox one x and my headset using dts digital suround through optical bitstream out,

I had an original xbox one and had no problems and the suround sound on my headset ( turtle beach ear force x41 Dolby digital prollogic 2) was amazing i could tell instently where people were.

I have since spent £179 on a newer set of turtle beach elite 800x thinking it was my headset being outdated for the newer console but still i have problems,

I am beginning to regret buying the newer console and headset and im comming to the end of my teather

Can any one give me advice on this issue please before i give up on it altogether

It actually does support great 5.1 surround with optical threw the DTS Digital surround option. DTS is actually better then dolby but alot of headsets dont support DTS.

Hi there,

In order to better diagnose the problem its best if we have an idea of your audio set up, what devices you have connected to the Xbox and TV, and what audio settings your speaker and headset is set to on the Xbox.

You said you had this issue with two different headsets on your new Xbox One X correct? So the issue has to be narrowed down to console software or the cables used to connected your audio set up.

Please let us know how you have your audio system set up and what your settings are set to on the Xbox.

Sorry when i select dts digital surround i get no audio through my headset but it comes through fine on my surround system

Where as before it worked just fine on the both with my original Xbox one ( Day one release version)

Oh and i have done all the firmware updates

First thing I would check out is updating the
Firmware for your headset, make sure it's on the latest version. Sometimes I have to swap my headset from Xbox to PC and back for it to recognize.

But can you describe some more details on what's happening with your headset? Is it not giving any sound, or is the sound quiet, distorted, or not working?

Hello, I highly understand the frustration as I have had problems in the past with headsets of my own. I advise you to check this out, if this doesn't help I apologize and hopefully I can help further with a little more detail on your current settings.
