DS1 code not working

I got the code, but when I tried redeeming it I got a message saying that I already own this item. I tried a lot of different things but it still wont let me download dark souls I, it doesn't show up anywhere on my xbox. Any idea on what I should do?

Dark Souls Original Not Ready For Backwards Compatibility.

So Finally received my DS1 code, after waiting 17 days, only to find out that, yes, you get the code for preordering DS3, but its useless. DS1 not ready for backwards compatibility. What a rip off. Supposedly it won't be available for BC until the release
of the DS3, or possible just before. Who gives a **** about DS1 if you have DS3 to play? Not me. Microsoft is deceptive.

when you get the code it should say redeem code under it! hit on that and the game will appear in the ready to install area under games and apps WHEN it becomes backward compatible! or if you bought it digitaly on the 360 you do own it already and will get
it when it becomes available

yep ''WHEN'' being the word I use considering I've stopped hoping for Microsoft to make it backwards compatible, I just come to the realization that ill probably get it days for DKS3 if not after.

This is 12 days and still no code for DS1 after pre-ordering Dark Souls 3.
