Downloading Xbox 360 Games With Gold

If I try to download the Xbox 360 games with gold o the website it says "Xbox.com is not able to make this transaction please do it fro your Xbox" and when I do it on my Xbox it says the same thing. Can someone please tell me what am I doing wrong and how
can I actually download it?

Unless you are downloading it from a xbox 360 console then you need to have a credit/debit card or paypal account linked to your account to download xbox 360 games with gold.

 

Hi, if you have access to an Xbox 360 it's fairly simple, you start the download on the 360 and then cancel the download and the game will show as ready to install on your Xbox One, not elegant but it works.

The 360 side of the store on the Xbox One has some issues still and I've never been able to download any of the 360 games either other than starting the download on my 360 as described above.

 

To download 360 xbox BC games from your xbox one console you should have a valid method of payment linked with your account. This goes even for games with gold, in this case since the games are free a purchase of 0,0$ is registered.

What error message/error code do you see when you try on the 360?

 

Make sure your Gold Account is not in its trial period. You need to have an up to date PAID gold account.

 

Sorry I forgot. I THINK if you have Gold that was purchased with a code and no CC card linked that may be an issue.

And even though its free you must still be allowed to actually BUY it, even though its free.

I have a credit card attatched and a full gold membership if i try to download it all it says is "Sorry something went wrong" and gives me status code 80150017

 

Sometimes that error goes away just trying it again. I happened to me four times in two months once.

I remember people saying this problem a few years ago and this sometimes solved it.
