Downloading titles on game pass for pc

I am having trouble downloading titles on game pass and have tried the current existing fix to this issue. The problem is that my xbox gaming service is not saved on my computer in the correct format and wont allow me to uninstall and reinstall gaming services because the "file can not be found". I was wondering if anyone knows of a fix to this issue or knows if xbox/microsoft is working on a more straightforward fix to this issue.

Game Pass Ultimate is just a bundled subscription of Gold, Game Pass, and Game Pass for PC. So games downloaded from Game Pass will work the same as they do with standard Game Pass versus Ultimate.

Since Forza is a Play Anywhere title, you an download it on both the PC and console without needing Game Pass for PC or Game Pass Ultimate.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is an Xbox Play Anywhere title. This means that it can be downloaded from the Windows 10 Store.

Ori and the Blind Forest is not a Play Anywhere title. To download the PC version of this game from the PC Game Pass you need the PC Game Pass App installed.

Hi Brad,

Thanks for responding. How does setting home for console work on the PC for the PC Game Pass? Is there even a way to do this so the kids can download PC Game Pass titles that are linked to the Ultimate Pass?

when I attempt to install a game it gives me this prompt and when I looked up what to do on the xbox support forms it tells me to uninstall my xbox game services and reinstall it. At first, the error code it was giving me was 0x87e00196 and I was told to open my Windows terminal and type in the command Get-AppxPackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers, However, when I do this it gives me the prompt:

remove-appxpackage : Removal failed. Please contact your software vendor.

I do not fully understand what this means or how to fix/change this so that it will allow me to use the command in order to download games.

I have tried with multiple games and it doesnt allow me to install any. however, I can open and play my current games without issue.
