downloading on xbox series x is useless stops and starts

Been trying to download a 28gig game on my series x since yesterday and have only got to 4.38 gigs of the 28.61gig file size i started the download at 9:30pm Thursday and at 8:13am Friday its at 4.38 gig 15.3%.the download has been going for 11hrs its never taken this long before to download 28gig game. I have reset my xbox series x, reset my router, paused and restarted the download. None of these solutions have fixed it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues downloading a game on your Xbox Series X. I understand that the download stops in the middle of the progress. For more stability, is there a chance that you can use an Ethernet cable?

You shared that you reset your Xbox, did you mean factory reset? If yes, did you Reset and remove everything, or Reset and keep my games & apps?

There are moments where these issues are caused by cache where it becomes full. I would recommend that you perform a power cycle, kindly follow the steps below.

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 50 seconds.

Important: Make sure that you wait at least 50 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

3. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

If you don't see the green boot-up animation when the console restarts, repeat these steps. Make sure that you hold the power button until the console completely shuts down.

Important If your console is in Sleep mode, the above steps will shut the console off completely. Sleep mode, or the ability to turn on your console by saying "Xbox on," won't be enabled until you restart the console.

Once done, try downloading the game again.

I’m having the same problem only it’s the multiplayer pack 1 for me .it starts to download and stops during the middle of the download.

I’ve deleted the game and reinstalled 3 times and reset my entire Xbox series X and I’m still having an issue.

Nope, just inserted the disc into my Xbox Series X and started the download.

Is anyone else noticeing there games are running a lot faster as well I've got two series x and both of them do it even the dashboard seems to fast
