Downloading movies to xbox one

I can find PLENTY of forum posts on how to delete downloaded purchased movies, but NONE on how to actually download purchased content. There was no indication that my purchases were streaming only but there seems to be no way to download them. Is this console
just an expensive paper weight when there is no internet? CAN movoes be downloaded from the store? I see they can be downloded on the 360...

Xbox one video purchase not on xbox360 myvideos

I purchased movies through xbox one video have a good collection now. I hooked up my old 360 to watch the movies we watched one movie and now my collection on the 360 is only a couple movies. They are the movies i previously
purchased on the 360. I've tried troubleshooting re downloading everything the collection doesn't even come up on the 360 anymore.

Delete and redownload. If you paid for it you shouldn't be charged again. I know that's how it works with games.

 

I got a refund when I purchased Force Awakens due to this stupidity. You buy the movies, BUT you don't actually get to own them via download on the system...unless they've updated this since that movies release (I refused to buy any movies after that until
I know I can truly own them), I could only find a way (that didn't work) if you were on your account on a computer to download the movie file. I enjoy the system, but there's a lot of foolishness surrounding the terrible design of many things yet.
