    I have been trying to download games to an external drive on my PC using the xbox app, however, the app won't recognize the drive on the initial download, and I can't move it after downloading it. It returns error code 0x80073d13 when I try to move it.
    I have made sure the external drive is compatible with my PC. The specific game I have tried is Metro Exodus.

    If the app is not recognizing the drive as a storage medium then try formatting the drive and see if that helps

    Is this on game pass PC Beta? If so you have to download to the default drive that it creates.
    Hi,

    I'm sure you mean well but....

    You don't have to install to the 'default' drive whatever that is.

    If your Windows 10 is working correctly - and error codes usually mean it isn't - you can instal on any drive.

    I have four drives for my PC, three internal and one external. I can use them all for PC game Pass games.

    Hi, sorry for that issue, the problem is the external hard drive, for some reason (I don't know why), the games that require Administrator approval have issue on external drive.
    Thanks for the answer. External hard drive it is not the problem in my case. While trying to find a solution to this Xbox Game pass for PC / Windows Store error I did reinstall Windows 10 on my iMac's internal hard drive. The problem with error 0x8007001f
    persists even when Windows 10 is installed on the internal hard drive.
