    Downloaded the game Grounded, starts but is so slow its unplayable


    So I bought into the Game Pass Ultimate, well worth it for the current price. Main reason was to play Grounded with a friend. It downloads and install, crashed to desktop the first 5 or 6 times I ran it. The Obsidian Known Issues forum post says this might
    happen, so no big deal, I'm a patient man.

    Now it starts and allows to play game, but it is lagging to the point of being un playable. My Alienware Aurora R2 rig is old but plays everything I've thrown at it from Steam.

    TLDR

    This is my first UWP game, I suspect it is lagging due to the Unreal Engine attempting to run as DirectX 12, my video card doesn't support DX12. Unreal Engine supports command line -d3d10 to allow older DX, but UWP takes away this option.

    Anyone have a suggestion besides buy a new video card?

    I5 quad core 2.67 GH

    AMD Radeon HD6770

    16GB RAM

    OS installed on SSD drive, games installed on second SSD

    No but the download will slow down a lot if you do so just like back ground downloads on pc

    Its just all round slow while using the home screen and my games and apps and my networl exceeds standards so i cant see it being that but when it does start doing it the game speeds up x10 to catch up with itself which is making all my games unplayable.

    so with all the people complaining the game is completely unplayable (and don't bother posting it hasn't happened to you so the issue doesn't exist), with the only way to make it better is to slow their internet through movie downloads etc, having a super
    fast connection that can't be slowed will make things worse.

    .

    the problem is lag comp, not lag.
