Downloaded game--disappeared?

Yesterday, I downloaded Outlast: Whistleblower for $8.99 and after about 30 minutes it downloaded! Sounds normal right? All goes well until I go back to the queue to see that the game isn't there and isn't under installed games. But it even says installed
in the store. I really don't want to buy the game again or buy the other $17 game. What should I do?

Do you have the ability to use another storage device? Since you are experiencing this with all downloaded games and games that are installed on your hard drive I can only assume that if it's happening with multiple game discs that it could be related.

If you could try to remove the hard drive from your console and try a secondary storage device like a USB Flash Drive (something with anywhere from 8GB-16GB of space). If you are able to download Halo Reach to that Flash Drive and your profile to see if it
works you can then see if this is an issue with the storage device or something with the console.

This would be highly recommended before contacting phone support with this issue as they might try to tell you to do the same anyway.

I followed your instructions to the letter. Neither 'Halo: Reach' or 'Oblivion' will work. "Disc unreadable.". I'm totally confused as to how this can happen when there is no disc.

 

Do you own the original Outlast game? Whistleblower is just an expansion for that and cannot be played on its own.

If you do have the full game installed, highlight it and press the start (I think it's called the menu button these days) and choose manage game. From there you should be able to see the whistleblower addon next to the game if it's installed properly. From
there, just start up Outlast and choose to play Whistleblower instead of the main game.
