    Downloaded Call of Duty MW warzone free version, then purchased the game and would NOT install


    I downloaded the free version of COD MW warzone (2020), i liked the game, so i purchased the disc version from an online shop.

    The disc came i put it in and nothing happened! no new update or downloads started. I could still play the free warzone version but nothing else.

    To fix this:

    1. Uninstall COD Warzone from your console (you wont loose your xp and ranking)

    2. Turn off your console from the socket and leave for several mins.

    3. Turn on your console and insert the disc, and launch the game when notification pops up.

    4. Let the downloads install in their own order themselves (dont adjust there queued position)

    Now your purchased full version of COD MW should work

    Call of duty is handled in one app regardless of which platform the call of duty app which is a launcher for all games call of duty now including warzone

    Mw games are on sale atm on console and PC but in order to buy pc you need steam or battlenet

    Call of duty mw isn't free on any platform.except if you live in Europe and on one of the 9 new cloud services like.boosteriod or geforce now

    Did you purchase Call of Duty Modern Warfare?

    Call of Duty Warzone is free to download and play with an active Xbox Live subscription. The Call of Duty Modern Warfare campaign is not.

    Hi Andrew

    The campaign is only available for those who purchased the Call of Duty Modern Warfare, so if you didn't purchase it - that means you won't be able to play it. You won't be able to download all the 16-18 packs needed to run the full game.

    The same for Warzone, you can only access the old Warzone if you own the full game for COD MW.

    The only available for you would be Warzone 2.0 that you could get here: https://www.xbox.com/games/store/call-of-duty-w... the old Warzone has been updated to 2.0.
