Download Threshold on Xbox Live

Has anyone noticed lately ow the speed limitations for downloading on Xbox Live has been dramatically reduced?. Within the last month or so, the download speeds have been extremely slow. When I do my network test on my xbox, it shows my connection speeds
to their server, and their accurate in comparison to what I allocate to my Xbox and what their maximum connection speed seemingly is. However, the download speeds for games now are ridiculously slow. Why would you slow down install speeds to such low limits

I also notice that instead of connecting me to the eastern server in new york, I get connected to their central server most of the time, which is a different tone zone and can affect performance.

My post states that I've already done so both on xbox live and thru running OS Commands, as well as in game. The in game will bre slightly different because there's another layer or component being introduced into my path.I've also used third party sites.
My friends have also noticed a slow down as of the last few weeks of download speeds. I jave a 1 GB fiber optic connection. And i use a really good gaming router that is fairly new and has all of the nearest updates. My lines have been tested by my ISP...no
problems. Maybe you have a slower internet connection. Maybe that's contributing to you not seeing it, or a different console. im trying to triangulate the change.

There could be multiple things causing this. The games servers could have thousands of people downloading from it simultaneously. The amount of people in your household using the same internet while you are. People confuse fast internet with strong all
the time. You may just need to clear the MAC address and refresh the router or try a wired connection if you're not already using one.

No one in my household but me. Servers... possibly. I clear my mac every one to two days, and the persisted data every day. Im not confused about internet speeds or anything like that. I reboot my modem and router regularly. As stated in another response,
other friends that i game with have also had the same experience.
