I can see that you're experiencing issues with downloading games on your external SSD. One possible solution is to try resetting the Xbox app. To do this, you can follow these steps:



1. Press the Windows key + I to open Settings.

2. Click on Apps.

3. Scroll down and find the Xbox app.

4. Click on the Xbox app and select Advanced options.

5. Scroll down and click on Reset.

After resetting the Xbox app, try downloading the game again and see if the issue persists. If it does, you may want to try disconnecting and reconnecting the external SSD or checking if there are any updates available for the Xbox app or your external SSD's drivers.

I've experienced this before. What you can do is stop the install, and then restart your console, and then try and re-download. If you are trying to install on an external HDD/SSD, turn your console off and unplug any storage.

This did not work for me, but thanks. I'll try to get a replacement or a fix with the warranty

Since you've tried the disk on both of your Xbox and PC but the space is not being detected, based on the information that you shared, I am suspecting a faulty drive. Please try these steps on your Windows PC and see if you can format your drive through command prompt. Please note that this will delete all the data from your external SSD:

Type "diskpart" and press Enter.

Type "list disk" and press Enter.

Type "select disk [Your Verbatim SSD]" and press Enter.

Type "clean" and press Enter.

Type "create partition primary" and press Enter.

Type "format fs=ntfs" and press Enter.

Type "exit" and press Enter.

If you've done all the possible troubleshooting steps but you're still having issues with the drive, I would recommend that you contact Verbatim support directly. Since you have it for less than a year, it's still covered by warranty. Please use this link:
