Download profile problem

So this issue with my 360 started nearly a week ago. I called customer service after trying everything to sign in unsuccessfully. The rep tells me to delete my profile and then download it. When I went to download my profile I got an error code 8007007A
that was 6 days ago. I call customer service back 3 days ago they were acting like they don't know what's going on. So I stay persistent and basically demand an answer and I get transferred twice until someone finally admitted it was trouble on their end not
mine. So 2 days ago I cancelled my auto renewal and went to sell my 360 and couldn't get anything but pennies for it so I didn't sell it. I like Xbox but the customer service is garbage it's a bunch of ppl that know hardly anything about fixing your problem
if what they type on a computer doesn't work which I can and have done myself on several occasions. Get your act together Microsoft I don't want to go to the dark side (Sony) but you are making it very tempting with your $hity customer service representatives
and not admitting when things are messed up. Ppl aren't stupid and won't panic we just want answers not the run around.

Deleting downloaded profile?

I decided to dust off my 360 and I downloaded my profile awhile ago. But if I delete it and not my actual profile. All of my saves and data will still be there, right? Because from what I read. The only point of downloading your profile, is if you want to log in to a different console.

Saves should be fine, proflie can be deleted and redownloaded.
