Download issues on Xbox 360 slim using 32gb flash drive.

I have an Xbox 360 slim which only has a 4gb hard drive. I bought a 2.0 USB flash drive which has a storage space of 32gb and I tried installing GTA V using the download disc. The download reaches the end and in the bottom corner of the screen it says installing
7876/7876 mb. When it gets to the end the screen just freezes and it doesn't load anything and does not say the download is completed.

I tried exiting and going to the storage device to see if the game has downloaded and it shows that there are 4 files under the GTA V game section. Two files have been corrupted and they both are roughly 2gb each. I've already tried clearing the cache, deleting
everything and starting over but I still get the same result. Any ideas on how I can download the game?

downloading and playing xbox live games on a flash drive

Hello my name is (mod removed) I have an xbox 360 slim 4gb, I want to download black ops 2 off the xbox live network when it comes out on a 32gb xbox 360 configured flash drive, the flash drive is highspeed 2.0 , if i do download black ops 2 onto the flash
drive will it work? and will it run slow? or not run at all? thanks for the support.

 

Will a PNY - 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive work on the xbox 360 slim?

I was wondering if a PNY - 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive would work on the xbox 360 slim, and if so will it work at 3.0 speeds or 2.0?

Honestly, I'd suggest investing in a bigger HDD for your console. I've tried this in the past, and the hassle just isn't worth it. Get a bigger HDD and you'll be fine.

 

I'm slightly limited on money and don't want to spend more because i have already spent quite a lot. Is there no other method?

 

You need to install the install disc on your hard drive but you dont have enough memory. You can get some decent used hard drives at gamestop for like $35.

 

I said it once, and I'll say it again. and one more time if I have to. If you want to game to work the way it suppose to with no problems, get yourself an XBOX 360 hard drive. if you don't care for the campaign and don't mint a problem here and there, get
yourself a 3.0 16GB flash drive. and a regular USB, more than likely, the game will not work.

GTA5 is not the only game that is like that. most games now days require an XBOX 360 hard drive.

 

I have a 250gb hard drive and Tried resetting my cache. I still can't download the game

 

turn the console off, pull the hard drive out, put it back in, make sure it clicks, try to download it.

if that doesn't work, check for any corruption on the hard drive or incomplete downloads and delete them.

if that doesn't work, try deleting the game and redownloading it.

 

After I reinserted the hard drive it didn't work, but after clearing my cache one more time, everything worked
