Download Error For Insufficient Space On Brand New Drive (XBOX APP FOR PC)

So basically last night I tried to install Halo MCC through the xbox game pass app for PC, and encountered an issue where I couldn't change the default "save new apps" drive on my PC. Since then, I installed a fresh SSD and have changed the install new apps location to that drive (both in PC settings and Xbox app settings) and I still get an error telling me I have insufficient space, which is blatantly false as the drive was just reformatted. I have a feeling that the issue lies somewhere in the inability to move an install location of a previously installed game, but have not found a way to do that as none of the files are present on my computer. If anyone has any answers, that would be greatly appreciated.

If you see error code 0x8007007B and the message, “The drive for download is not available, please fix the volume and try again,” when you try to install a game or update the Xbox app for PC , this means that either it couldn’t locate the drive on which you originally installed the game, or that you don’t have enough storage space to install the game.
To fix this error, choose a new storage device on which to reinstall the game, or free up enough space on your Windows device’s hard drive to reinstall the game.

Windows includes a troubleshooter that can automatically fix some common problems with the Microsoft Store and its apps. Access it by going to 'Settings' -> 'Update & Security' -> 'Troubleshoot' -> 'Additional troubleshooters' -> 'Windows Store Apps'.

Make sure you have enough space on your hard drive for the Xbox app. Sometimes, installations can fail due to insufficient disk space.

Hi Spears,

Do you know for a fact that you have adequate space on your drive to install this game? Your Xbox One will automatically stop installing when there is insufficient space left.

Game Capturres are storaged in a reserved space on the hard drive that isnt viewable in games and apps. Thats why when you buy a brand new console some of the drive space is reserved for the OS and captures. If your just looking to free up some space on
your drive then you would need too uninstall a game or 2 or purachse a external hard drive
