Double NAT type because of EE 4g Wifi

Also, may I ask why you’re using a 4G mobile WiFi hotspot (MiFi) and not fibre broadband (FTTH/FTTP or FTTC)? Is there not great coverage with not many ISPs available in your area, or are you travelling so a portable network device is more ideal?

EE/BT do offer 5G MiFi contracts and fibre broadband options (both Home and Business types) if you want to consider upgrading:

There is nothing Microsoft can do to fix the type of double NAT that occurs due to EE 4g Wifi, as that is how it works. And in my experience your only solution is the current one with a VPN, the other option is to contact EE to see if they can change the configuration but apparently it did not work for you and as an alternative you would just have to change. to a normal Wi-Fi network.

Alright so I've just moved to Spain and we got a modem router and ive just noticed that my NAT type on xbox is strict and it says that a Double NAT is detected and i don't really know to solve it or do anything to change that. The modem is an Asus
(Asustek Computer inc.) and when I was looking for a solution my model type wasnt there. Model 4G-N12 (ignore whatever model it makes me put)

Is your ASUS 4G-N12 connected to a 4G LTE mobile broadband service?
