Doom Eternal freezes on one particular level - help backing up save files / crash log

Hi,

Doom Eternal has been running on my PC without an issue until a day or so ago. Now in one particular level, the game will freeze, with the music continuing the play in the background. It's slightly random, but always seems to happen a minute or so after I start the level from the save slot.

I have reinstalled different video card drivers and done all the normal troubleshooting etc.

I have 2 questions:

1) How do I enable a crash log so I can get more information about what is causing the freeze?

2) How do I backup my save progress and config files before I repair and reinstall (I am finding this incredibly confusing to locate the right files compared to Steam)

Hello LukePorter, in addition to the procedures you mentioned above, you've checked to see if your Windows has been updated to the latest version and with xbox store Apps updated.

Updates often seen as optional, Microsoft released major fixes this week, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed.

If you haven't updated yet, click the link below, update and then make all subsequent security updates.

Also make sure all Xbox Apps are up to date in the store, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed, it works with the Xbox App.

If after these procedures he continues with the same problem at this point in the game, my suggestion is that contact the support of the game developer, Bethesda Softworks, may have something about it in the game forums because it is something more specific.

Hello again, even enabling crash logs may be something specific in the game that requires an update, you can follow the guidance to enable logging by the link below.

As for save, progress and made directly in the Microsoft cloud in your account, so when logging in, it will start from where you made the last save.

Hi,

Unfortunately Doom Eternal, Skyrim and Wolfenstein 2 are not play anywhere and their Xbox Save files can not be transferred to a PC.

Try this:

Copy your save file of the world that won't load to another source, (USB, cloud, etc). Delete the original save file, and remove Minecraft from your console. Clear your console's cache. Redownload, and reinstall Minecraft. Copy the save file back to your
console. Now try loading the save file.

If it still freezes, that particular save file may be corrupted. Try creating a new game or loading a different save file. Is the freezing limited to just one save, or does it freeze on all saves?
