Doom Closed Beta code used?

So. I bought Wolfenstein The New Order back when it came with Doom Beta access. Redeemed my code.

I was also invited into the Closed Alpha last year. This automatically entitled me to the Closed Beta then. So my code from getting Wolfenstein should have been it's own code and sent to me. This was not the case. I was sent the same Closed Alpha code.

I'm entitled to the Closed Beta token promised from that game. I already have the Beta so I planned on giving the code to a friend, but he can't use it since Xbox assumed I wanted both entitlements bundled. So I'd just like a new code please.

DOOM Closed Beta: Have You Been Told Your Code Is Used Already?

So the closed BETA won't go live until late at night in the UK because the US live in the past.

(We Brits can say this because we invented time and all time is measured from GMT)

But if you got your code, tried to input it and are being told:

"This Code has already been used. Do you have another one? Try that"....

Apparently if you were in the closed Alpha then check your "Games" list and the "Doom Alpha" should change to the "Doom Beta".

Bumping this as I am still wanting this fixed. I just want the code I was entitled to for Wolfenstein The New Order.

 

I'm glad that this is an issue that doesn't appear to matter to the support team. Several tweets left unanswered as well. That's nice.

Guess there's no point in this since the beta ends very soon.

I'll answer

The reason its showing as used is because you were in the alpa. It states it in the email itself:

"If you have redeemed an Alpha code, you already have access and no additional action is necessary."

You don't need to download anything else, as you can use the same game as you used for the alpa

If you deleted it, then it will be sitting in your "Ready to Install" section, which you can find by going into you "My Games and App" and scrolling all the way over to the right hand side, passed your games.

And I'm well aware of that now. But I was also entitled to a beta code from Wolfenstein: the New Order. So not only was I invited to the closed Alpha, which got me into the Beta...I also had my entitlement from Wolfenstein.

That's 2 separate entitlements. I was due a code, which I promised a friend. Then it was assumed I didn't want what I was due...so this is happening. At this point my problem is now unresolvable since it ends tomorrow..

 

That isn't how it works unfortunatley. You got into the Alpha from registering for the Beta (they selected a certain amount of users from the Beta for the Alpha), you weren't entitled to the Alpha, that was a bonus, you were only ever entitled to the Beta
code

 

That's a shame. The Closed Alpha was never mentioned as a part of being from Wolfenstein like that. They really need to specify. I was assuming it was Beta only and Alpha was a bonus since I did sign up for it.

Lacking information to consumers is a bad thing on Microsofts part for sure. Thanks.
