    Don't Starve on GamePass PC won't launch


    After installing the game via GamePass, pressing the Play button gives me an error that Windows cannot find the file. If I try to launch dontstarve.exe directly from the install directory it tells me I don't have permission to access it even though I'm using
    an administrator account. I can see based on the reviews for the game that other people are having issues with it not launching. Any suggestions on how to get the game to launch properly?

    I've never had any issues with the dozen or so other games I've installed through GP.

    I had a similar issue with mine earlier except mine kept wanting to crash on start up (Took a solid 10-20 minutes to get it to even start). Have you tried re-installing the game?

    Thanks for the quick reply! I did reinstall, initially it installed to my D: drive and I figured that was the problem since GP games don't like running from the D: drive sometimes. I reinstalled to the C: drive and it still gave the same error.

    I thought it might be an issue with my anti-virus but I whitelisted the file and no luck.

    I just have this issue today. I have the same issues with SaarFliess. Couldn’t reinstall the game again with the …00001 code. Tried everything mentioned in the YouTube as well.
