  1. Dolby vison not running correctly on xbox series x

So i just got the vizio mqx 50 inch that can do 1080p at 240 and also has 1 hdmi slot for 4k at 120hz. Everything was working fine for a few months when i went to 4k details everything was checked with green running smooth. Well i guess there was an update or something and now theres an exclamation point saying dolby vision only runs at 4k 60hz but may experience issues like auto low latency when enabled. Now previously whenever i opened an app like twitch the dolby vision sign would always pop up for a few seconds confirming that its running. Now i dont even see that. I know my tv has dolby cause it has it written in bold on the box it came in. My thing is why is it not saying your tv supports dolby vision for gaming up to 4k at 120hz and why is the auto low latency message showing? None of this was there before.. so much for xbox updates i guess! Any help anyone?

    :)

Most likely the electronics on the television have been reevaluated as not being quite adequate for Dolby Vision. It's warning you that it will not necessarily be 100% performance and setting a 4K/60 ceiling.

When will Microsoft fix Dolby ATMOS audio latency on the Xbox?

    Hello jesseinsf94122,

We really appreciate for the time and effort that you have extended to us.

    What we have found out an article for some Dolby errors;

Audio delay on Xbox Series X

Question: Some games or movies on the Xbox Series X have audio/video sync issues, how can we fix this?

Answer: Dolby is currently investigating any A/V sync related issues while playing some games or watching some movies on the Xbox Series X with Dolby Atmos enabled. A/V latency problems normally occur because of specific hardware compatibility issues, faulty hardware, or incorrect configuration on one or more devices. For the Xbox Series X, users should double-check the below checklist to make sure your setup fully supports Dolby Atmos.

    1. Are you connected to your TV or AVR using eARC?

    2. Are you using HDMI 2.1 supported cables?

    3. Does your AVR/soundbar support HDMI 2.1?

    4. Is your TV configured correctly to use eARC?

    5. Is Atmos enabled correctly on your Xbox Series X?

Additionally, one setting in the Xbox Series X that is known to cause some A/V sync errors is the feature to play content in 4k 120hz. This setting has been shown to cause audio delays with some hardware when playing Dolby Atmos content. Microsoft is currently looking into this issue. For a temporary solution, users should change the setting to 60hz.

Please see any of the above items apply to your system and fix as necessary. If you believe all is in correct order, please contact Dolby support to follow up with more troubleshooting.

We hope it worked out well for you. If not, please reply back to this forum to let us know. We will be glad to follow up and help you.

Xbox Series X Dolby Atmos sound delay

    Hi,

unfortunately the series x doesnt have an optical audio out port so that is not an option - and that also doesnt solve the issue which is specific to dolby atmos.

So according to the manual for the panasonic soundbar i need to run two hdmi cables from the xbox - one to the tv for dolby vision/ALLM and then a second one to the soundbar for the sound

Obviously theres only one HDMI out socket on the series x so i assume this is not possible?

What is wrong with my XBSX?

Okay so apparently it’s something with Dolby Vision gaming as it only happens when i start up a game that uses dolby vision. And when I turn dolby vision gaming off every game works fine. I don’t understand what is happening with dolby vison gaming though as I’ve been using it fine until i just got done playing BF2042.
