Hi there,

I have received a brand new Plantonics 800HD headset. In the box along with the headset you get a redeem voucher for the dobly atmos software (which is great). However, upon attempting to redeem my code, I get a error saying the following: This is quite
odd, seeing as the box was sealed, and the voucher card was untouched.

In that case you would have to contact the store where you bought the headset from.

It might be that Plantronics added duplicate codes or some other error happened with the code. However, Microsoft can't really help you with that, as you have a purchasing "contract" with Takealot.

They need to deal with this and contact Microsoft themselves to sort out the code issue.

I understand what you're saying, but here's the rub. The scratch pad to reveal the code was unscathed as well.

I also appear to not be the only person with this problem.

If that does not work then you would need to contact the place you purchased the headset from for more help

Where did you purchase it from? Just because it is sealed doesn't mean that it wasn't opened and resealed again (e.g. shrink wrap). I would ask the retailer to replace the unit with another or check with Plantronics to see if they will give you a replacement
code.

Did you start Dolby's 30-day free trial or did you pay the one-time payment (14.99$) to unlock Dolby Atmos for Headphones through the app? Or did you redeem a pre-paid code unlocking access to Dolby Atmos?

Dolby Atmos is not free. The app is free to download but you won't be able to set up Dolby Atmos for Headphones unless you get access using the methods I asked above.
