Okay, soo my question might sound weird, but here is the problem. I have 2 baseus HDMI switches, connected with two sources:

    1. My gaming lap

    2. Xbox console

    Two outputs:

    1. My monitor

    2. My TV

All was working fine - no issues.

Yesterday i wanted to get rid off 1 switch and connect console directly to tv = no signal. I tried different HDMI ports = 0 effect, different HDMI cables = 0 effect. I took one of the cables and connected xbox directly to the monitor and other monitor and i got 480p only...again, no matter which cabke or port i used result was the same...

I tried to change the settings on console = 0 effect, did factory reset = 0 effect.

I thought that something is broken, but THEN i connected it all back through switches....and it works like a charm. How it can be that direct connection doesnt work, but somehow switches make it work? Does Xbox series s "remember" hdmi connection? o_O

    :)

I know its strange! Its philips pus8506 with android. The only thing that comes to my mind could be the original xbox cable. I replaced it with another longer high quality cable (previously direct connection with it was fine).

Thanks, try resetting your Xbox's display settings:

If there's a disc in the console, eject it.

On the console, press and hold the Power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds to turn off the console.
Press and hold the Power button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You'll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. Don’t let go until you hear the second beep or see the console start-up in low resolution mode (the Xbox start-up screen will appear slightly pixelated).

Note: If you have an Xbox Series S or Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, press and hold the Xbox button and the Pair button instead, as your console doesn't have an Eject button.

In either case, this will start-up your console in low-resolution mode (640 × 480).
To change this setting, press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide. Go to Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options, and then select the resolution that you want from the options under Display.

Something else you can try is manually setting the connection to HDMI: Select Video fidelity & overscan. Under the Display drop-down, select HDMI.

That's strange, may I ask what model of TV and monitor you're using?

At the very begining it was working only with my tv, directly connected. All was good.

Hi, my name is Kyle and I'm an independent advisor.

This could be a compatibility issue with the TV or monitor, and you may have been avoiding that issue by letting the HDMI switch handle the output instead. I've seen similar issues with some TV's and Monitors before, it's rather difficult to troubleshoot and find the exact cause.

Did your Xbox ever work when directly connected to the TV or monitor? Or has it always been connected to the switch?
