Does Xbox have a high quality Bluetooth gaming headset, earphones, headphones in the pipeline?

I just wondered if anyone had heard anything about Microsoft Xbox team gearing up to market with a high quality, extremely low latency
Bluetooth headset, earphones or headphones - Im talking high quality wireless Bluetooth earphones that have perfect audio visual sync for playing games with ?

Personally I think it is a long time coming.... where is it, this is something I would definitely invest in!

...or perhaps a third-party company has already this hardware for sale already.

I realise there are ways to do this already, like by buying a SP/DIF to Bluetooth converter
and plugging it in the back of the Xbox One, and then using your own choice of high quality Bluetooth headphones.

...I just thought Microsoft Xbox might want to take advantage of the Xbox One X Bluetooth capabilities.

*** I have never tried this so far, there is one SP/DIF to Bluetooth converter I found online, that boasts an extremely low latency, but Im not sure how it would perform with high performance high FPS games - would the visual and audio sync be good enough.

Any suggestions or ideas?

Hi, Microsoft have no plans currenly to release a Bluetooth headset. Considering none of the Xbox One consoles support Bluetooth, then they really have no reason to.

 

I didn't realise this, but yes you are correct on further reading I realise now that Xbox, even Xbox One X uses a proprietary wireless technology - which in my opinion creates AMAZING audio via the gamepad and wired earphones.

Shame though, since it would be awesome to have some wireless earphones to use on games.

 

Hi! As mentioned you won't have luck trying out Bluetooth headsets, although there are some simple (communicator-like) headsets coming out that might fit into what you're looking for:

If those are not quite what you're looking for, you might want to search YouTube for videos that tell you how to build a bluetooth adapter yourself (which actually isn't that much of a hassle).

 

Afterglow made a hell of a headset, however I am not sure if they have made an updated model. It was one of the only completely wireless ones for the console and great quality, if you can find one I would say grab it!
