Does the Xbox Series S/X controller's headphone jack work on Android if using WIRED?

Hello.

I recently acquired a Xbox Series S/X controller to use on Android for mobile games and GamePass.

I know for a fact that the 3.5mm headphone/microphone jack doesn't work via bluetooth, as a quick Google search was enough to answer that question.

But does it work when using WIRED mode? As in, directly connected to the phone?

The 3.5mm headphone jack on Xbox One/Series X|S controllers (including Elite controllers) does not work when connected via Bluetooth. It will only work via USB or the official Xbox wireless adaptor.

Yes the 3.5 jack should work if the controller is connected via usb cable to the PC. There is a post of a similar conversation in the link below:

What is this adapter called and does it work on xbox 1 S and 1X wired jack controllers or just the original first generation xbox one (not s not x) non wired jack input controllers adapter

they are the same as the standard xbox one s controllers, so with pc you can use via bluetooth(audio through headphone jack not supported)

or wired(supports audio via headphone jack)

This does not occur if I connect the same headset via wire/headphone jack to the controller.

It only occurs when connected wirelessly to the Xbox one S.

Please fix.
