Does the xbox one really cause carpal tunnel syndrome?

So, I have played with the ps4 for 3 years now, I usually play two hours most days in the evening.

I never really get wrist pain from the ds4 controller which is a good thing!.

I tried gaming with the xbox one and the controller felt really nice. After 15 mins of pressing the analog stick in to run I noticed my wrist started aching badly. and I have been persistent with this over a 1 month. My wrists just hurt badly from only
pressing in the analog stick.

I bought the Xbox elite controller and it seems even worse as the analog sticks are more heavy.

When I look at the ds4 compared to the Xbox one is that the ds4 analog

stick takes a lot less effort to press it in and I think this is why!.

I dont seem to be the only person either

You get carpal tunnel syndrome from too much excessive pressure on the wrists, which it seems pressing the analog stick in does this.

yea i thought assassin's creed 2 was the best one out of the 3 but i loved the first one also brotherhood didn't make me stay up and get carpal tunnel like the other two

Carpal tunnel is mainly caused by repetitive motions of your wrists and hands. It can be from anything, like using a computer keyboard or playing with any game controller. Keeping your hands in a relaxed, comfortable position can especially minimize the
occurrence of carpal tunnel.

Take breaks every once in a while to allow your hands to recover. Stop playing if your hands/wrists are feeling stiff or achy. Consider making a doctor's appointment if your carpal tunnel is getting worse.

what would minimize it is if, r3, l3 was soft to press in, like a button should be. Like the ps4 controller. I never get pain in my life but this Xbox controller is defiantly causing it the fact I am not alone here. I don't have carpel tunnel- syndrome.
So I want to clear that up. I have in the past done 5 hours almost non stop with the ps4 controller only to start to feel sore which is completely normal for that volume of time in fact I think my wrists are pretty strong. I did an experiment of my own,
I know someone with real bad wrists he has arthritis in her wrists, he pressed in the Xbox analog stick 10 times and it was enough for him to say ouch.

I gave him my ps4 controller and he can use it for 3mins max with no pain and that is constantly pressing the r3 or l3 in!.

Got carpal tunnel syndrome and vibration white finger myself(10 years down the pit),hurts like
[MOD: profanity] after about 4 or 5 hours gaming but hey , no pain no gain.
