    I have my main Xbox setup as the "home Xbox" and have the Ultimate game pass option. My son's account is a free account. He can do everything he needs to do on this xbox since it is set to the "home xbox" and sharing my account. The one option that
    doesn't appear to work is that if he wants to purchase content the "xbox live gold discount" pricing isn't available to him. This pricing is only available if I am logged in and purchase for him.

    Is this working as designed or is something we can resolve so he can purchase from his account with the discounted pricing? FYI - all restrictions have been removed from his account.

    As stated by Xbox Forums Ambassador {Parity}, this is as per design. There is an article that covers this a tad further as far as what you what
    would be shared, and if it is not stated there, then that is something that you would not be able to share. You can see this info

    No, only the owner of the subscription has that access.

    Hi there,

    are you using the account that purchased the packs on that other console? If not then these packs won't be available for other profiles, since they can only be shared on the account that purchased the packs on the account's 'Home' console.

    In regard to pricing for the packs, this can be caused by if the account has a Gold or (Ultimate) Game pass subscription, for accounts with Gold or Game pass subscription there can be a discounted price.

    Does anyone else use your console that could have it set as their Home? Sharing Gold would allow you to play online and party chat, but only the account that purchases the Gold would have access to discounts.

    The gold discounts will only apply to the account that purchased gold, or Ultimate in this case. So your account would be the only one who could take advantage of those discounts. The only options would be to either purchase them on your account and share
    them with him, or add gold to his account so he can purchase them.
