Does no one play for fun anymore?

competitive gaming will always be here, but i dont think everyone is focused on winning some people like to just play the game and enjoy it, i think sometimes you need to broaden your gaming circle so you have all types of gamers/friends to link with, so
if you are feeling competitive you will have those type of friends and if you want to chill and just have fun then you will have those too

A lot of salty people out there. I mostly play for fun.

i play for both reasons even if im bring competitive im still trying to have fun with it.

I play for my personal enjoyment, sometimes that's winning the game and other times it's just goofing off with friends. I think a lot of folks play because they find it enjoyable and winning is part of the game that makes it fun.

Theres definately a big shift from when I first started on the original xbox.

That said, back then I gamed with a solid group of 10 to 20 people and even when desperate to win there was always some hilarity

Plus the old lobbies were much more fun and now add in that 80% of players are either mute or in private party and it now means if I game on own then likelihood is no one is talking.

I still have fun though, be it setting ambushes, finding that camper, or generally running around a map on a mad kill spree on cod

But the old days seemed better
