I regret to inform you, but replacement controllers don't have 12 months of warranty. Actually, a replacement controller has a 90-day warranty.

Typically, every Xbox accessory or controller has 90 days of warranty (excluding the Elite Series controller, that has 1 year)

Controllers are only covered under a 12 month warranty in the UK. Replacement controllers get a 90 day warranty or what ever is left on your remaining warranty. There is no consumer law in the UK to cover a device over 6 years. You could argue that products
are should be covered for a reasonable length of time and due to ware and tare on an accessories 12 months is fair

It must count 12 month from date when you get new (replacement one) controller.

But to be sure, i'm think you need to check warranty card.

Which region are you in. Controllers have a 90 day warranty in the US and Canada however they have a 12 month warranty in the UK.

If you are lucky enough to be in the UK you can have the controller replaced
