Does Minecraft Windows 10 Edition comes with Xbox one Edition?

I figured out earlier today that some people with the Java Version of Minecraft can upgrade to Minecraft Windows 10 Edition for free. I went through and Found it was free and redeemed it. When I did I saw this:

"You now own Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition

This will automatically install on your home Xbox. If your Xbox is on or is set to Instant-on, automatic updates and purchases are on, and it has enough space, it'll start the download."

It mentioned that it would also be downloaded to my Xbox One as well. I went to look for the game (I had already had the trial) and i launched the game and noticed it was still the trial. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it several times and it did
not work. I do not know why this is not working. I opened the Xbox app on my ipad and it says install game and play game. I tried both options and the game was not purchasable from the app. When I used the app on the computer it said Install the Game as well
but I could not purchase it either. I do not know what to do. Please Help.

Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition runs specifically on Windows 10. If you would like to play Minecraft on Xbox One, you will want to take a look at Minecraft:
Xbox One Edition. If you would like to install the Windows 10 version of Minecraft on your Windows 10 PC, sign into the account that originally redeemed the code and download through the Windows Store.

You can play Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition with other devices running Minecraft: Pocket Edition, such as Windows 10 and Windows Phone devices.

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition can only be played with other Xbox 360 consoles on Xbox Live. The Xbox One edition can only be played online with other Xbox One consoles. There is no cross-platform play between the Xbox editions and other editions of Minecraft.

I'm not sure how you saw the message about it being installed on the Xbox, but it could be a minor Store app glitch.

The "Windows 10 Edition", as the name implies, is only available for Windows 10 PCs. If anything, you are able to link your Xbox account to it to play online and track achievements, but you don't actually play it on the Xbox console.

Only the Windows 10 version of Minecraft is offered free
if you already own the original Java version. The Xbox One edition is not part of that promotion.

There is no "Windows 10 Edition" on the Xbox One.

On the Xbox One, there was a "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" but that has been replaced with just "Minecraft".

As the others already said, "Minecraft" is not a Play Anywhere title, so owning "Minecraft" on the Xbox One, doesn't give you "Minecraft Windows 10 Edition" on the PC.

However, if you own Minecraft Java Edition on PC, you can log into your Mojang Account on PC, and can get a code for the Windows 10 Version.

The Minecraft Xbox One Edition only works on the Xbox One Edition.

You might want to upgrade to the Minecraft (without Xbox One Edition in the name) on your Xbox. If you bought Minecraft Xbox One Edition digitally, you can upgrade to "Minecraft" for free.

Then you can import your world from the Xbox One Edition to "Minecraft" for Xbox One.

However, the Support page for Windows 10 Minecraft states: "The Windows 10 Edition does not currently support the transferring of worlds from other devices."

So you can't transfer your world between devices.

You might have to move your World to a paid online Realm server to access it. Or you might have to run your Xbox One Minecraft in Multiplayer, and connect to the running world on your Xbox One with your Windows 10 version.

But you can't have your World separately transferred from Xbox to other devices.

As I said, you can try hosting your world on a Realm server (which you need to pay for), and can then access it with Windows 10, Xbox One, Android, iOS and Nintendo Switch.

But not JAVA.

What's on your Xbox would not be the Windows 10 Edition as that only works on PC. Did they give you a code for the Windows 10 edition?

I haven't heard of any promotions with Xbox giving the Windows 10 Edition for free with purchasing the Xbox One version. There was a free upgrade from Minecraft: Xbox One Edition to the current version which is just Minecraft.

I bought the Java Edition and migrated it to the Windows 10 Edition, does this not give me a free version of Windows 10 Edition Minecraft, I have to re-buy it?
