Does Microsoft/Xbox donate to non-profit organizations?

Microsoft/Xbox Family,

Hello! My name is Jesse, and I am Active Duty military attached to the 388th Munitions Squadron here at Hill AFB, Utah. I am on our Holiday Party committee and am reaching out to see if your company would be able to support any donations or gifts for us to give away as prizes at our party this year. This will potentially be our last holiday party as a whole unit as we are tentatively on the hook for deployment next holiday season. We have about 300 troops and family members that will be celebrating at this party on 17 December, 2022. We hope that Microsoft or Xbox would be gracious enough to support us. We would greatly appreciate any type of donation you could provide. Our committee’s goal is to provide an awesome selection of gifts and prizes for our troops and their families. Hello Jesse, the Xbox community is more focused on procedures and resolutions of problems related to games whether on consoles, PC, etc. in your case the ideal would be to try to contact the public relations department of Microsoft to see if they in something related to donations.

One thing you need to consider is what a company considers a volunteer. A volunteer is someone who helps out where they can in a Non-Profit organization. Although we are volunteering our time to help out other gamers it is not for a non-profit organization.

I am catching so much grief from my kids about this as I have refused to pay the charges. ngocphi, you must not be an adult with children. Microsoft, not Coppa, the bank or the credit card company is imposing the .50 fee. It is Microsoft, and when you
go through the process they clearly tell you that the .50 charge is being donated to a non profit organization. So, if you state that the charges never leave your bank, how does Microsoft plan on donating the money.

Microsoft has every parent in a bind, we have already paid for a service that can not be used unless we pay an additional .50 per child. Oh, and you can not get a refund for the unused portion of your subscription and if you have a 2 yr subscription billed
monthly you may be charged termination fees. I am looking online for a site to sign up for a class action law suite as this is extortion. Microsoft boast about their 14million and counting membership, if only 25% of that is affected by this fee that is a
total of $1.75M that is being donated on Microsoft's behalf.

And by the way, it is not a donation if you are forced to pay. I am very interested in getting class action information

I saw that today! Microsoft's doing a top notch job emphasizing the importance of giving in light of recent events where its now more needed than ever. Guys and gals, please don't hoard your reward points and donate them to the non-profits that need them
in these trying times. I just dumped all the points I had today into various donations, and y'all should too!
