Does Microsoft usually never send updates?

I sent my Xbox series s after it not turning on and Microsoft only sent me two emails, that they received my console and that they shipped it, in the matter of 2 Days. I never got any emails of them updating me of what was the problem or what they did to solve it. Is that usually normal? I’m currently in the process waiting for my console to arrive but I’m worried they didn’t fix anything.

When Microsoft return something, it's usually sent with a letter explaining what was wrong, and what was fixed.

I never got it either they usually send it after you get it.

I always just thought it was when Microsoft was ready to release them. I never thought that there was a date/time that the updates usually came out.

When an email is removed from a microsoft account it usually does not send a notification saying that the email has been removed from the account

Cannot answer for Microsoft but usually patches do take at least a few weeks to a few months to rollout. Not only does it include the fixes or updates to make things better it also has to be field tested to make sure it does not break something else. There
is no perfection in software updates - just takes time and testing.

I currently work for a Dodge dealership and when we report software issues it usually takes an average of 3 months until we see an update. I am hoping it does not take this long - usually they will fix the critical things first.
