Does Microsoft provide any support for hardware?

After accessing the support site for xbox, it seems any hardware related problems (a brand new xbox that shuts off constanlyt) do not have Phone Support or Chat Support available for.

The only option being offered is the Forums, in which I've asked my question concerning my Xbox that just shuts off and have had no answer directly from Microsoft.

Am I to understand Microsoft has NO technical support at all on hardware?

Or is there a phone number to call when ?

You can request a call back or chat with support at http://support.xbox.com/contact-us If you're not seeing those options, change your category/topic until you do. Billing & Subscriptions and "I don't recognize a charge" usually work for me. They do have technical support for hardware.

No it's a speedy way to get thru the wizard

The idea is to get you to do troubleshooting steps first so you have clog up the line for an hour

Sime people skip steps as proven with some threads latrly they don't provide info just they tried this and that and matching regions

Without providing relevant info then you get some who don't speak English and say I have thr same problem

I thought of this, but figured once they found out you sort of tricked them into a call on hardware, that they would not support you.

I will give this a try.

You may use third party hardware, provided it does not function differently in any way than official Microsoft certified hardware. However, please note: use any *any* unofficial or unlicensed hardware or accessories (hard drives, etc) is at your own risk,
and will void your warranty.
