    Does leaving the Xbox update preview remove accounts from my Xbox?


    Hey I'm planning on leaving the preview update as it's limiting my File explorer application on Xbox, and I heard somewhere that it removes Xbox accounts off the Xbox, and that'll be a bit of a bummer for me as I have no more Xbox home changes left (my next one is in October) so it wouldn't be ideal as I'd loose access to a lot of my games , so does it actually remove accounts from my Xbox or is that a myth ( I'm on Xbox series x )

    Remove Xbox One X from Insider/Developer builds.

    True, to my understanding, but after the console is factory reset and reinitializes with an account to complete any updates, even if the console updates to an Insider preview, all thats required is to download the Insider Hub from the Store, run it and remove the console from any preview it may have been in.

    Once you remove the console, using the Insider Hub, from a preview it will reset once again, and should be on the GA release OS for Xbox.

    You will need your account info.

    Here's how to remove your console from the Xbox Preview program:

    Open the Xbox Preview Dashboard app.

    Select Registration.

    Under Manage flights, select Change.

    Note If you have more than one console in the program, you can change their statuses by using Manage other consoles.

    Under Manage programs, select Remove, and then select Submit. You'll be prompted to select a reason for leaving.
