    Does insiders = longer ROM loads?


    Someone in the Xbox communities asked if I was an Xbox insider. How does one tell if one is an Xbox insider?

    Also in my case since my fastest internet is 5 megabits in 5 megabits out from Visible Wireless, and this is a home internet we're talking about, not a mobile, even though Visible was meant to be mobile in most cases, would it actually benefit me to be an outsider in terms of not having to clone corpses of games just to fit experimental mid version OSes?

    If I were to be it outsider if I'm not all you one would I actually be able to have the updates surgically update the games instead of the proverbial retyping of War and Peace from cover to cover just to change a single colon into a semicolon, actually retain the body of the ROM to fix surgically like a code surgeon should?

    If this lets me get better download times I'll do it in a heartbeat.

    I don't know how to check if I'm an Xbox insider or not. I may have been one during the Xbox 360 days so I can't guarantee that I'm not.

    Game not working

    How long ago did you purchase the 360? Can you insert another game to see if it works? If not do you have friend you can borrow one from to see if it will load. If that second game does not load. It maybe an issue with the dvd rom inside the console.
    I had the problem prior. If a different game works it could be a problem with the disk. These are some things to try. I hope this helps you. If you still need help feel free to ask.

    Will XBL be able to handle day one?

    The launch patch isn't even the size of a single CD-ROM, server load won't be a problem considering they're designed to handle entire game downloads.

    Would a new console running 360 games reduce load times?

    New hard ware should be able to load code faster though.

    As far as a boot rom I don't imagine it would be too much to ask for in a new console.
